These trees adapted well to Azerbaijan’s fertile land and are now found throughout the country. Today, persimmon trees are cherished as a symbol of enduring friendship between the two nations.

To further strengthen cultural bonds, Japan has introduced its traditional performing arts, such as Noh theater, to Azerbaijani audiences.

In February 2024, a Noh performance was held as part of a Japan-Azerbaijan cultural exchange event at the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center in Baku. This iconic complex, designed by renowned British architect Zaha Hadid, provided a striking venue for the occasion.

The event showcased Japan’s traditional performing arts to a captivated audience, including many Azerbaijani and international visitors. The performance was met with great enthusiasm, serving as a powerful testament to the cultural harmony and friendship between Japan and Azerbaijan.
